Dr. Paria Mohseni

FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR

Paria is a freelance science communicator and strategist specializing in biology and genetics. She holds a BSc in Biotechnology from Rutgers University and a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Toronto. She also has training in scientific animation, which helps her turn complex concepts into clear, engaging visual and digital content.

Becoming a parent made her realize how few clear, reliable life science resources exist for young learners. That insight sparked the creation of Helix Town, a nonprofit that makes biology more approachable through hands-on activities, step-by-step experiments, and visual storytelling and animation designed to educate and engage.

What began as a side project is growing into a resource for teachers, homeschoolers, families, and young science enthusiasts looking for approachable, curriculum-aligned ways to explore the world of biology.
